چکیده
The influence of surface porosity on the fatigue life additively manufactured (AMed) EH36 steel samples via selective laser melting (SLM) was studied in-depth by using a numerical method, which pores were simulative AM 3D pores. in both simplified semi-ellipsoid/spheroid and more realistic triangular shapes evaluated first place. Stress concentration factor Kt analyzed ABAQUS assessed FE-SAFE closely related to pore size, shape, position, orientation as well their interactions, confirmed effects crack initiation stage during testing. effectiveness adding finish smooth model subjected internal geometry terms values ranging from 1 5.5. Different algorithms attempted with stress-life method giving higher estimation than strain-life while becoming invalid when stress situation rather serious (around = 2.5). There no much difference between uniaxial multi-axial because tensile cyclic loading applied model. Theoretically calculated total (crack propagation) linear elastic fracture mechanics (LEFM) fell same order experimental results for all (within 2). AMed material parameters used prediction where microstructure element counted. could deteriorate mechanical properties materials lot, such strength, Young’s modulus lifetime, etc. statistical analysis showed scatter band SN curves at 8 respect different scanning speeds.

Influence of Residual Stress on Fatigue Life of Hot Forged and Shot Blasted Steel Components
Hot forging is a common manufacturing process for the production of large quantities of engineering components. Residual stresses are developed in forged components as a result of various aspects of the manufacturing process, including subsequent cooling, and heat treatment. Residual stresses can significantly affect the deformation and fatigue failure of materials. Hot forged EN15R steel bars ...
متن کاملInfluence of Surface Finishing on Fatigue Properties of Valve Steel
The fatigue strength of flapper valves depends among other things on surface properties of the steel. This paper deals with the effect of a tumbling method*) on bending and tensile fatigue properties of test bars. For carbon steel SANDVIK 20C an improvement was observed in several test series, particularly in the transverse direction of the strip, whereas there was little effect for stainless s...

“the effect of risk aversion on the demand for life insurance: the case of iranian life insurance market”
abstract: about 60% of total premium of insurance industry is pertained?to life policies in the world; while the life insurance total premium in iran is less than 6% of total premium in insurance industry in 2008 (sigma, no 3/2009). among the reasons that discourage the life insurance industry is the problem of adverse selection. adverse selection theory describes a situation where the inf...
15 صفحه اولFatigue of 8630 cast steel in the presence of porosity
Fatigue and monotonic test specimens having porosity ranging from microto macroscopic levels were cast from 8630 steel. Monotonic and fatigue properties were obtained to determine the effect of porosity on the mechanical performance of the cast steel. Axial fatigue tests were conducted under fully reversed conditions in both strain and load control on specimens containing microporosity, and in ...
